The Active Rural Communities program: Managed in partnership with the Western Australian Country Health Service, and funded by the Department of Health and Ageing's Healthy Active Australia Community and Schools Grant program, this project was able to encourage children and young people to increase their involvement in physical activity throughout the ten rural shires in the South West Region. Although the project was completed in May, 2010, Investing In Our Youth are investigating ways to further roll out successful project outcomes such as 'Prams In The Park.' Prams in the Park is a project that encourages mums and bubs to spend 30 minutes in physical activity when they attend Play Group.
The Linking Education and Families program was developed by Fiona Farren and funded in six Bunbury Primary Schools in 2007 by the National Community Crime Prevention Program and in the same six schools by Lotterywest in 2008 and in Harvey Primary School in 2008 and 2009.
