
The End to End Driver Training program is designed to support participants in their journey to achieving their full license, from end to end.
Investing In Our Youth funded by the Government of Western Australia via the Driving Access and Equity Program and the Department of Justice to offer the End to End Driver Training Program.
The program supports participants all the way through the process of obtaining their full drivers’ licence, including;
- pre-driver education,
- obtaining the learners permit,
- building driving experience through formal driving lessons and supervised driving sessions,
- sit and pass the Hazard Perception Test (HPT),
- sit and pass Practical Driving Assessment (PDA) to achieve their provisional driver’s license.
In regional area of Western Australia people may have difficulty accessing Department of Transport services as well as driving supervisors, instructors, and safe vehicles to get their driver’s license. Investing In Our Youth currently offers the End to End Driving Program in the Local Government Areas of Bunbury, Harvey, Dardanup, Capel, Collie, Donnybrook, Busselton and Margaret River.
The End to End Driving Program helps people with circumstances that prevent them from obtaining their driver’s license by:
- improving access to vehicles, driving instructors and supervisors to help people learn to drive.
- helping people overcome issues and costs that may prevent them from obtaining their licence.
- increasing access to Department of Transport services.
- increasing access to training, education and employment opportunities.
Am I Eligible?
To be an eligible participant for our End to End Driver Training Program you must be:
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
- Unemployed, or employed, but on a low income (entitled to Centrelink payments and/or has a Health Care Card); AND
- Live in a location where you cannot access appropriate driving instruction; OR
- Can demonstrate lack of access to appropriate vehicle, supervisor and/or driving instructors; OR
- Be in contact with, or risk of contact with the justice system.
The End to End Driver Training Program is able to support participants aged 16 to 25, and also above age 25, needing support to gain their driver’s license. You must have the time and desire to commit to the program and are you are encouraged to access other supports in the community to assist you to gain your driver’s licence.

Please Note: The Driving Access and Equity Program (DAEP) funded part of the program is unable to process new registrations currently. Registrations will open again from 1st July 2026 pending successful extension of grant funding.
Registrations for the Department of Justice funded part of the program are still open but there might be wait times for new and eligible participants.
What Costs Are Involved?
There are no costs involved in the End to End Driving Program however there are limits on some aspects for example the number of driving lessons. Participants are encouraged to self fund aspects of the drivers license process where able.
